HVAC Maintenance Plans in Colfax
A maintenance plan keeps your furnace, air conditioner or heat pump checked before each season starts. We tune it up, tell you plainly what we found, then check back a few days later to make sure everything is running the way it should in your home.

Regular care for the system that heats and cools your home
Big failures usually begin as small ones. A tired capacitor, a sooty flame sensor or a plugged condensate drain shows few signs until the first freezing night or the first stretch of heat. A tune-up ahead of each season finds those parts while they're still inexpensive and quick to swap.
Plans begin at $14.99 a month. For that you get seasonal tune-ups, a discount on repairs and a place near the front of our schedule. We handle cooling in the spring and heating in the fall, and we do the booking so you don't have to remember.
The difference with our plan comes after the tune-up. You get brief care notes for your equipment, and then we call to see how it's running and answer anything that came up after we left.
What your plan covers
- Spring cooling tune-up
- We wash the outdoor coil, read the refrigerant pressures and test the capacitor and contactor. We also flush the condensate drain so water can't back up inside. Air conditioners and heat pumps get the same treatment.
- Fall furnace safety check
- Our gas heating mechanical license means your gas furnace gets a real safety check: we test the igniter and flame sensor, look over the heat exchanger, measure gas pressure and check for carbon monoxide at the unit.
- Filter and airflow check
- We look at your filter, show you the correct size and tell you how often your household should replace it. A dirty filter is the top reason a system runs long and heats or cools poorly.
- Repair discounts and priority scheduling
- When something does break, members pay less for the repair and get moved up the list when a cold snap or heat wave fills the schedule.
- Longer labor coverage on new installs
- Maintenance plan members can extend install labor coverage. If we put in your furnace, air conditioner or heat pump, staying on a plan is an easy way to make that coverage last longer.
- A check-in once every visit is done
- A few days after your tune-up, we get in touch to ask how the system is doing. If a sound returned or a room still isn't right, we take care of it.
Signs a maintenance plan makes sense for you
It has been over a year
If you cannot remember the last time someone looked at your furnace or air conditioner, it is due. Gas furnaces especially should get a safety check every fall.
Your energy bills keep climbing
A dirty coil or a struggling blower makes your system run longer for the same comfort. Tune-ups help it run closer to the way it did when it was new.
The outdoor unit is caked with dust
Late summer harvest dust and chaff around the Palouse pack into outdoor coils and choke airflow. A spring cleaning keeps your cooling working hard when you need it most.
You just had new equipment installed
A plan protects that investment from the start and lets you extend the install labor coverage.
You keep calling for small repairs
Repeat service calls often point to wear that regular visits would catch earlier, and members pay less for the repairs they do need.
How a plan visit works
- 1
Set it up by phone
Call us and tell us what equipment you have. We explain what the plan covers for your setup and give you a free quote on it.
- 2
We schedule your seasonal visits
We reach out ahead of spring and fall to set a time that works for you, so you do not have to track it yourself.
- 3
Tune-up at your home
Your technician works through the checklist for each system, protects your floors and cleans up before leaving. Most visits take about an hour per system.
- 4
We walk you through what we found
You get a plain explanation of the condition of your equipment. If a part is wearing out, you get a written quote before any work begins, and the choice is yours.
- 5
We check back
A few days later we follow up to see how everything is running and leave you with care tips for the season ahead.

What affects the cost of your plan
Plan pricing depends mostly on how much equipment we are caring for in your home. We give you the full picture by phone before you sign up, so there are no surprises later.
- Number of systems
- A home with one furnace and one air conditioner costs less to cover than a home with two furnaces or a separate system for an addition.
- Type of equipment
- Heat pumps run year round and get checked for both heating and cooling. Ductless mini-splits have an indoor head in each room, and every head needs its filters and coil cleaned.
- Age and condition
- Older systems sometimes need more time on each visit. If your unit is close to wearing out, we will say so plainly rather than sign you up for a plan that will not do it much good.
- Repairs found during a visit
- Repairs are separate from the plan but discounted for members. You always see the price in writing first.
Maintenance plan questions
Something not covered here? (509) 769-3613
Does the plan pay for repairs?
No. The plan pays for your seasonal tune-ups and takes money off repairs, but repairs aren't free. If we spot a problem, you see a written quote first, and no work happens until you agree.
What happens if my system breaks between visits?
Call us the moment it happens, any hour. Our emergency repair line never closes, nights and weekends carry no extra charge, and members get moved up the schedule.
I have a heat pump. Do I still need two visits a year?
Yes. One heat pump does the work of both a furnace and an air conditioner, so it gets more use than either. Visiting in spring and fall finds wear before each busy season. See our Heat Pumps page to learn more about how they work.
How does the plan affect my install labor coverage?
Maintenance plan members can extend install labor coverage. If your equipment was installed by us, keeping it on a plan makes that coverage last longer. Call and we'll go over how it works for your system.
What do I need to do between visits?
Not much: replace the filter when it's due and keep weeds, leaves and drifting snow away from the outdoor unit. Each visit ends with written care notes, and we review them on our check-in call.
